Christmas 2010

Merry Christmas Family and Friends!

Please say a special prayer for this sweet, little angel. She hasn't had a very good day, today. We aren't quite sure what is going on, but we've been chasing lows ALL day long and were instructed to check her every 2 hours around the clock. And if you're feeling extra sweet, Will and I could use a little prayer too.

Love y'all. Night.

Seriously....

Social Services is going to show up any day. She is fearless and has a new goose egg to prove it!

Dear Santa,
Please bring me a helmet.

Love,
Dantz

What not to say

This made me laugh. I showed it to Will tonight and he laughed too.
The lady has just a little bit of sarcasm, which I love. :)
I wish one more comment would've made the video. My all time favorite.
Aren't you so glad it's diabetes and not a food allergy?

Easy and Delicious!

You'll want to write this down and try it!

Melt 1 stick of butter in bottom of large pyrex dish.
Dump 1 Box of Butter Cake Mix into bowl and add 1 egg. Mix together.
(be sure to cut the box tops off of box before you throw it in the garbage)

Press cake/egg mixture into bottom of pyrex dish into the butter.

Beat together, 1 box of confectioners sugar, 1 cream cheese-softened and 2 eggs

Preheat oven to 350- spread topping onto cake mixture
Spread evenly and pop it into the oven for 30 mins!

And it comes out like this!! Ooey- Gooey Yumminess!
Let it cool and cut it into squares!

Bring it on!

This hot mess has been using the big girl potty, lately! It began by sitting her on the potty before her bath, each night. Then, yesterday and this morning, she went into the bathroom and said, "TT".  Bring it on, Tiny D!!

Too cool..

Dear Santa, I've been pretty good. Will you please bring me an ipad?

Yours truly,
kd

It doesn't hurt to wish, right? I'm sure it'll end up like the Christmas that I asked for
1. New Car  (yellow prelude to be exact)
2. Cell phone
3. Radar Detector
4. personalized tag
I didn't get #1 through #4 that Christmas.  It might have had something to do with not being 16 yet, doubt it...   :)

Goal Reached....

Lydia gets to start U-100 Humalog insulin on Monday. She has been on diluted insulin since her diagnosis and our goal has been to get her on the "real deal".  We are excited about the change, but nervous too. Please pray that her little body can handle the hard stuff. :)

Details on Breakfast Casserole!!

Here's some of the questions that I have received...

1. Is it the soggy, bread casserole? No, it's with hasbrowns, cheese, sausage and eggs. And it's delicious!
2. Is it frozen? No.
3. How many will a small serve? 4-6
4. How many will a large serve? 10-12

Breakfast Anyone?!?

Any of you need a breakfast casserole for
work next week or Christmas morning?

I'm going to start whipping up some and would love to help you this Christmas season!

Call or email me knking29@aol.com

over 300!

We have filled up "another" coffee container with syringes. It really puts it into perspective when I pull out an empty one and tape up a full one. L has had over 300 shots. She's impressive.

For the record, these are duct taped and put into our garbage can for disposal. It's allowed by law. :)

Now, check out my Dantz Machine from last year and those yummy legs! :)
I bet she wishes she still had them, on these cold, winter days!

Sweet Memories!

Couldn't resist posting this pic that popped up on my computer screen.
Look at those two sleeping angels.
I didn't realize it at the time, but I had two babies on my hands.

She's Free

The one-armed bandit is free from her ace bandage and sling! The dr seems to think her collar bone is good-to-go! She's not really using that arm much, but I know she's happy to have it back!
Happy Weekend!

Nocchio Arrived!

The girls received a surprise from "Honey" tonight! Lydia immediately named him "Nocchio". (Guess she thinks her little elf, looks like Pinocchio)
Good night Nocchio!

Santa!!

Baby dolls, Pink Bed, Zhu Zhu Pets, and the list just went on and on. I didn't realize L knew all the hot toys on the market. She said she forgot to tell Santa about a couple of toys and she needs to go back again. I told her he would gladly accept a letter.

A little boy cried and would not sit with Santa and that just confused Lydia. She wanted to know why he was upset. :)And she told Santa that she didn't have a chimney at her house and that he would have to come in the front door.

Dantz didn't have much to say, but was definitely checking him out.

Sweet, Sweet little girls!

It went a little something like this....

Went to CVS and decided on this lovely medium brown color...

JP and I reading the instructions x 5....

bye-bye red hair...

JP mixing it up and my stomach is flippin'
Work it J...

10 mins is key...
you might be a redneck if....
you hose out your hair dye in the back yard
ta-da! It's a lot darker in person, but I think it's a good "winter" tone! :)

Don't ask, because I still don't know how this all happened.

(unless it has something to do with the "red" truck! :))

L- "How many shots this time?"

Me- "two"

L- "That's aggravating!"

"Red"

I've giggled all morning at the fact that Lydia had a meltdown bc she didn't want to ride in daddy's truck, she wanted to go to school in the "red truck". You see the "red truck" is a loaner that we're using from Dad, while I try to sell my Honda. It's a nice truck, but I'm really not the truck type. I feel like my name needs to be Terry or something, while I'm sportin' it.. I'm not embarrassed, but it's just not me. Will tells me that a vehicle doesn't make ya cute, but I beg to differ. The red truck kinda clashes with this red hair and I never liked being called "Red". Dad, I know you understand-even though I do appreciate it. :) Josh too!

Anyway, Who wants to buy a 2007 Honda Accord?
Black w/ tan leather and only 34,000 miles.
I'll even put a big "Red" bow on top for ya?!?

Dressing Update!

I think Grandmama King would've approved..... It was yum, especially with the giblet gravy and alittle pepper jelly too!!
