Labor Day Weekend, School and other stuff

Labor Day Weekend 2013

Sweet Sisters

School is going so good. Lydia is really enjoying it and comes home excited every day. The school nurse is pretty awesome too. Lydia is right where she needs to be.

Lydia as "top dog".

22 Blood sugar happened at home this week after school. It was quite scary and I hope it never happens again.

Working on that farm table that I've been requesting.

Getting ready to see Sue Ellen in the Little Mermaid.

And we found the cutest fish ever.....

Yay for Popsicles!

Dantz: Will they cut my sores out with scissors? Lydia: No Dantz, they'll use a knife.

Dantz had her tonsils and adenoids removed this am. She is doing great and being a really sweet patient. I sure hope it continues because I saw a glimpse of a really bad patient earlier today. :) She's eating her fair share of popsicles, sherbert and yogurt.

Montana Magnet Open House

Went ahead and got a low BS overwith at Open House :)
We took Lydia to Montana this am for an open house and to meet her teacher. (I took a pic of Lydia with her new teacher, Mrs. Holland, but I cannot get it to upload onto blog) Lydia is counting down the days until Monday. We made a calendar to put on refrigerator, so she can mark off the days until her first full day. We are super excited about her starting Kindergarten. Will hopefully get lots of pictures on Monday in her school uniform and with Mrs. Holland.

Betes Check up

Lydia and I went to Birmingham early this am for a "back to school betes check up".

We got all the paperwork that she needs to begin Kindergarten in a couple of weeks. She braved another trip to the lab for five vials of blood and got another good A1c. She is a rock star!! Thumb update: Both girls are doing awesome. They have made it through two nights without it. Lydia made it all the way to Bham and through entire 3 hour drs visit. After she ate lunch, she was exhausted and fell apart wanting her thumb. I pulled off the interstate and taped that bad boy up and didn't back down. She fell asleep and slept all the way to Dothan. I'm hoping by Saturday or Sunday we will be in the clear. Is it Friday yet?
