Lydia and I went to Birmingham early this am for a "back to school betes check up".
We got all the paperwork that she needs to begin Kindergarten in a couple of weeks. She braved another trip to the lab for five vials of blood and got another good A1c. She is a rock star!! Thumb update: Both girls are doing awesome. They have made it through two nights without it. Lydia made it all the way to Bham and through entire 3 hour drs visit. After she ate lunch, she was exhausted and fell apart wanting her thumb. I pulled off the interstate and taped that bad boy up and didn't back down. She fell asleep and slept all the way to Dothan. I'm hoping by Saturday or Sunday we will be in the clear. Is it Friday yet?
Ahhhh. She is awesome! And by the way so are you. So happy for a good A1C. My sons has been awful and it breaks my heart. He is almost 20 years old. Getting ready to start his second year of college. Away from home. These years are soooo hard. But anyway I don't even remember how/when I found your blog. I just think you are doing an awesome job with her and her diabetes. No one truly understands what we go thru except someone going thru it. Praying for all who have to deal with it, especially the ones that have it.
