Even though the girls weren't feeling 100%, we took them to a few houses anyway!

Lydia didn't seem to mind giving Honey (aka-Aunt Barkley) all of her treats for special prizes... (dora bandaids, sillybands, glow bracelets, stickers, etc) Thank you Honey for making Halloween extra fun for the girls! They both loved it and I did too.

Early Bird gets the Worm!

A sweet friend picked me up at 4:35 this morning and we headed to this:

Oh my word, I am out of shape!!! My legs already feel like jello and they modified my workout compared to everyone else's. I hope I can sit on the toilet tomorrow. I know, TMI. I was able to come home and get another hour of sleep before the girls woke up. Is that bad that I can go back to sleep after exercising? Anyway, I had to go see what all the fuss was about and I think I'm a fan of Crossfit. They open their new gym tomorrow... Check them out.

Birthday Weekend and so much more....

Grandmother surprised us with a visit Thursday night!! We were all VERY happy to see her, but these two little ones were beside themselves!

Sweet Girl Cousin time before Church this morning.

After lunch today we made it happen and she knew is was coming....

We tied that pink, nasty silicone paci that she has had for years to ribbon....

And told that paci, "bye-bye"


And up, up and away it went.... It seriously brought a tear to my eye because it was one of the sweetest things that I have ever seen. We watched is for several minutes and it was super cool.

She was clapping and saying, "I'm a big girl now!!" We are so proud of her!

She immediately went inside and took a 2 1/2 hour nap without it. Hooray!

What a weekend!

I was such a big girl sitting in class (over 2 hours) with mama and daddy while they learned how to take care of me! Everyone said that I was such a sweet, little girl. :)

Trips to B'ham wear me out, but I can rest knowing that we got a good report!

I know several of you are wanting an update on Lydia. She is doing well and taking shots like a champ! She really is amazing. We are still on the insulin roller coaster, but all in all, it's going good. We are tired, but it'll get better. We head to Birmingham for her appointment on Thursday and I'm anxious to hear how they think she is doing, because we think she is doing great.

I shared in my post on Friday that I am missing my brother tremendously. I got so many emails, texts and calls about it and I appreciate all of your love and concern. It means so much! This silly blog isn't to get sympathy, but to share our life, so that one day it can be a scrapbook for my sweet girls.

Missing you!

All throughout the year, I recall funny stories about him(us), hear a song on the radio that reminds me of him, or just get a quick flash of his smile. Oh the memories I have, but something about Fall and Alabama Football and I just can't get him out of my mind. I like it though.

I know I'm just one of many people that miss Brandy King every.single.day! Wish things were different, but they are not, so I'll just keep remembering and thinking of him constantly! I hope you will too.

Eighty!

This sweet, brave, little princess has had a lot of shots of insulin. Just since we've been home she has had 80! That is more than enough for me and it's only the beginning for her.

Let's all pause and pray for a cure for diabetes. Please!
