Sweet Girls

I received an email last week and one sentence really struck me. "Motherhood is not a hobby, it is a calling". So, so true. To say the days are easy around here, would be a lie.

But, oh, is it ever so rewarding. Lydia just said to me yesterday, "Mama, I love you so much. Thank you for taking good care of me".
There are days that are sometimes full of meltdowns, fussing, messes, short naps and then a big smile like below makes it all better.


Some days are extra silly....

Yes, I need a break sometimes, but I am so fortunate that I get to spend each and every day with my sweet girls. I am thankful for messy days, silly days, happy days and all the drama in between. I know that it is passing so very quickly.

    You are so right! Time is so precious, it passes all too quickly :( Jillian will be TWELVE in a few weeks and I just can't believe it. Pour into them your time. Time is what they want and time is what they will remember. Laugh with them, cry with them, be silly with them, be dramatic with them, love them. Let them be apart of the everyday. I had to learn the hard way to let the perfectionism go and let the them be apart of the everyday. Great post and great pics! What precious girls :)

    they are so cute and so sweet! i know it is hard and i needed this reminder today! even though it seems there are more hard days than easy days, i am thankful for them all!
