Beach Weekend Getaway
We left after lunch on Friday and headed to the beach! Dantz wore her swimsuit down and they were ready for some fun! We rented this condo over a year ago, hoping we could go on our anniversary. It did not work out, so we decided to make it a family beach getaway. I'm so glad we did!

Big Day!
Neither looked too excited about school today, but this mama sure was.... I cannot believe Lydia started preschool today. She will go two days a week until lunchtime. Dantzler will go to Little Lambs (mothers morning out) on the same days. :) Look at her with that big girl, school bag!
Once we got there, they were all smiles and couldn't wait to go inside to meet new friends and see their teachers.
Lydia walked in and told her teacher, "Hi, my name is Lydia". It was so cute and big! And we were not late, even though it looks like we were last to arrive.
Dantz and I eased out of the preschool building, so I could take her to her class for Little Lambs. She sure thought she was big enough to stay for preschool too.
I'm not sure what is going on in this picture, but it cracks me up! Dantz D is a mess!

They both had a great morning. I picked them up and asked them their favorite part of school today. Lydia said the playground was her favorite and Dantzler said that her favorite was Mary Grace. Pure Sweetness!
They are growing up way too fast.

It's Friday!
L is going to kill me one day for this, but we are cooking with gas with her pod. We have found a sweet spot on her hiney. It doesn't bother her when we take it off and her numbers have been real good too!
Speaking of cooking...these girls have been busy this morning. They had pots and pans clanging before 8am. Lydia said she's making a pie with only 28 carbs. :) Dantz pretty much follows suit.
And yes, she is still in the "Blue One".

Rough Day
Rough day. Another funeral for someone that was way too young to go. Just an awesome guy with a heart of gold, that a lot of people are going to miss. He was one of my brother's best friends, which means he was my friend too.
I was in a pretty good fog during Brandy's service and had the worst headache ever. I don't remember much from that day. I really don't.
But, sitting in the pew today, I felt it all. It was so very hard. My dad was sitting beside me today too. It is pretty much the same story with a lot of the same people. My heart aches for his family and all of his friends.

Tell your friends and family that you love them. You just never ever know. Plus, it never hurts to say it or hear it.

Blue One!
You see this romper? Yeah, it's cute, but it is giving us fits around here because one little priss is wanting to wear it every. single. day. Actually, a few mornings this past week, she woke up shortly after six yelling, "Blue One"! Y'all, I cannot wash and dry it fast enough.
She looks sweet in it but it causes some really inappropriate behavior. I physically had to show her that it was in the washing machine and dryer numerous times to get her to calm down. This has gone too far!
I can't understand it. She got into big trouble before church because she didn't want to put this cute number on. "Blue One" wasn't an option.
She did great it her cute, church dress but I could tell at lunch that we were starting to get that Gangsta look. Sure thing, when we got home, "Blue One!" I'm just glad the knive was left at the restaurant. JOKING!
I'm pretty much over it and I've threatened that we are giving it to her friend, Reese. Which leads to her falling out in the floor, crying!

My point is, if you see us around town, I'm 99% sure she will be wearing the "Blue one"! Six out of seven days last week, she had on the romper. (not counting the nights she slept in it) As I type this, it is in the dryer because I promised her we would put it on after naptime. Someone please come get this faded number!

Rock Star
Last night was loooooong.
I asked Lydia this morning if she knew that I changed her pod during the night and she said, " I put Lammie over my face, so I didn't hear the funny noise". I thought she was snoozing. Even when I gave her a shot. She doesn't miss a beat.
I also said that diabetes stinks and she said, "Mama, it is okay to have diabetes". Shame on me.
I have said it so many times, but the girl is a trooper. The days that I wake up in a fog (which is most) and feel so tired, she is tired too. She doesn't sleep well when her blood sugar is 400 or 70. I cannot even imagine what it must feel like when her numbers are not good. I like to get caught up in poor pitiful me that stays up to midnight most nights and gets up again at 2am. It is not about me though. Yes, I'm her pancreas, day and night, but I'm only tired. She is tired with so much more. Y'all, I'm not just saying it because she is mine, but she is something and it is something impressive! This mama needs to take notes from her three year old.
