More excitement!
The Christmas Cheer is everywhere and I love it. Look what strolled down our street tonight. It was completely awesome and amazing to see those big horses and buggies up close and to hear Christmas Carols as they passed by. (Look close at the first picture and you'll see the girls with Sissy)
Such a wonderful treat on a Friday Night! First Santa and then Clydesdale horses. What's next? It's the most wonderful time of the year!
The girls took a short ride from Calvary to our house on the buggy. And ladies, that is Cowboy Josh in the black vest. :) |
A couple of jeeps were in the mix pulling a trailer of carolers.... Hey Tommy T! |
And our sweet Coach driving the second Jeep! |

Santa on Oak Drive
We had a Christmas party yesterday afternoon for the kiddos. About 26 kids to be exact! They played and decorated Christmas cookies.
The weather was absolutely perfect for the outside festivities.
We had a special visitor stop by! The kids took off running to the gate when they heard the sleigh bells and the "ho-ho-ho". Who knew that Santa was coming by Oak Drive?
He even brought them all elf hats to wear. Some gathered around, some watch from a distance and a couple ran inside the house.
A helicopter flew over the house and we knew it was Santa leaving for the North Pole. Bye- Bye, Santa and thank you so much for making our afternoon one that we will always remember!

Wonderful Weekend!
The weekend started off with a special treat. We got to babysit, Baby Benton, for about an hour on Friday. The girls wanted to hold him, touch him and couldn't stop talking to him for the short time that he was here.
Lydia decided she would read him a story and it was pure sweetness!
Here are some of my favorite pictures and things from the weekend. I love this time of year. Christmas lights, decorations and family time, fill my heart with joy.
Sunday afternoon we attended an eightieth birthday party for one of the most precious people in my life, Grandmama King. I have looked up to her always and still do. She is a great example of what a Christian woman should look like. She is positive, classy, funny, beautiful, smart and does not judge anyone. She has been through a lot in her eighty years. She has outlived two of her children and a grandson. She is so strong and faithful.
She loves her family and they mean everything to her. She cooks, cleans and works in the yard like she is less-than half of her age. If you find her sitting still, she's either picking out pecans, doing her nails or getting her Sunday School lesson ready.
I could go on and on about her because she is truly an inspiration to me. I can only hope and pray that I'm a grandmother like her one day and an example to others, as she has been to so many.
To say she deserves a special award for living with my Granddaddy all these years is an understatement. To all that know him, you completely understand, because he is one-of-a-kind. They are pure entertainment at it's fineness together. Not only have I had the privilege of a very special set of grandparents, but they were also like parents too. They lived next door to us until I was in fifth grade and I saw them every single day. Then they moved ten minutes away and my parents would literally make me come home from their house.
Years later, while going to Wallace I moved in with them. I am sure those are not some of their fondest memories, but it was a good year for me. My parents had divorced years prior and it felt like home and family again to me. (I learned then that I so wanted that one day.) Thanks, Grandmama and Granddaddy!

Excited!
This mama is ready to get out of dodge. Do you ever just feel like the walls are coming in on ya and you need a change of scenery. If I organize, sweep, fold another load of laundry, cook a meal, it will be too soon.
We are heading to Macon to spend the weekend with the Massey clan. We haven't been since this time last year and it is long overdue.
We are all excited and if these blood sugar levels don't show excitement, I don't know what does.... This child has had more juice, squirt applesauce and "circle snacks" (smarties) today, than should be allowed. Just in case you are wondering, emotions play a huge role in blood sugar levels. (whew, look out teenage years)
This might have a little bit to do with the excitement.
I hope you all have fabulous weekend!

November in Pics
I've uploaded a ton of pics from various events from November. I have been slacking on my posts, mainly because we have been busy, plus my camera is pretty much shot. The good news is, I have a new one on the way from Grandmother and Rob. Kinda a win-win Christmas present for everyone, especially if I get signed up for a photography class or two.
Enjoy all the pics!
Will took the girls to Gaucho Farms on a field trip. All three of them had a blast and Will thinks they need some chickens for Christmas because they chased them until they couldn't anymore. Check out their website: http://www.gauchofarms.com/
Remember when Betty and Larry sang karaoke for L's Diabetes fund? Well, they are still going at it, every Tuesday night. Courtney, Barkley and I decided to join them the Tuesday before Thanksgiving for some excitement. We had a large time, to say the least.
Cannot believe November has come and gone! Thanksgiving is probably my favorite holiday because there's no pressure and it is just fun and fellowship. I do love having a Christmas tree up though and hope December passes much slower than the previous months. Thankful for all my many blessings!
Enjoy all the pics!
