Fishin' and Pickin'

It was a pretty long week, especially since Dantz was sick most of it.  She didn't feel good on her birthday and continued to go downhill. She was negative for strep, but that pumpkin had one heck of a sore throat and fever.

By Friday, she was much better. Will picked them up that afternoon to head to the strawberry patch. When they arrived, they were told it was closed from the rain and mud. As you can see below, Dantz was not happy. This seems to be her reaction to a lot lately and we are really working on her and her meltdowns. Whew, it's a good thing she's cute.

Saturday was family day and we loaded up for a fishin' trip. Fishing lasted about ten minutes. Lydia kept easing into the pond, until she finally just belly flopped in.  It was freezing and muddy. She did not care and was having the best time.

After naps on Saturday, we loaded up for the strawberry patch. It has become a tradition and the girls love it. (and the strawberries are yummy too!)

Happy Birthday, Dantz Machine!

On April 6, 2009, this precious bundle of love was born. I cannot believe it has been four years. She melts our hearts and makes us laugh, every single day.

Dantz on her first birthday!

She had a great birthday party this morning! They were adorable!

Betes Check-up

All four of us loaded up early Monday morning and headed to Birmingham for Lydia's endo appointment. Lydia was so excited to bring Dantz along to meet Dr. Ashraf. It only took three hours at the actual appointment to get a good report. :-) It was long and we were tired. We talked about taking them to the zoo again, but Will and I could not find the energy. Will offered a trip to the mall. (for those of you that know Will, he really did not want to go to the zoo)

Another good A1c and weighing in a 41 lbs.

waiting............

And still waiting........
Finally, we made it out of there and headed to the food court at the Galleria. After lunch, the girls had some excitement and it was super cute.  It was Build-A-Bear or bust! ( it's spring break and D's birthday week, what the heck?) :)

We decided to stop in Ozark at El Palacio's to finish up our 12 hour day. It was an exhausting day, but Lydia and I were so glad to have Dantz and Will with us on this trip. Memories were made.

Sweet sisters were not impressed and asked for Daddy's Mexican restaurant next time. ha!

Yay for another good check-up for our brave girl.
